I had a slight "cognitive dissonance" moment yesterday, when walking through the EK shopping centre on the way to and from the hotel for the church's 50th birthday bash. Apparently twice a year they do an "EK Fashion Show", which from yesterday's evidence consisted of a catwalk about 20' long and a few models modelling clothes by stores which have shops in the shopping centre. When I walked past the first time they were modelling Debenhams (they'd progressed to Monsoon by the time I walked back).
B (with whom I have previously discussed my utter uselessness in the whole area of relationships) suggested that I might like to make a move for one of the models (we were watching Debenham men's range at the time). But to be honest - they were all a bit pretty for me. Maybe it's an age thing (wisdom, maturity, whatever) but there's something about perfect body and perfect hair that leaves me a bit cold. Don't get me wrong, I can't stand huge beer bellies, but give me a hint of a paunch and I go weak at the knees.
Mind you, the way my own lovehandles are expanding at the moment I've got more than enough to grab hold of without going for anybody else's.
