I think I would if I were them.
The other day I went back to the Stately Pile in the middle of the day to check on the builders. I could hear the drilling half way down the street. Oops, I hope the neighbours were all at work and none of them work nights. And now they have left half a ton of rubble in the communal corridor outside my flat. I had no idea they weren't going to take it away, so it looks like I'm going to have to discover the local dump today. I posted a grovelly note through all their letterboxes yesterday so hopefully they don't hate me too much.
I was getting a bit annoyed yesterday as the plastering looked crap, but they've returned today to finish it off so that's ok. All I could think, when I saw the mess that had been made of the bedroom floor, was thank goodness this place doesn't have carpets (it's a humungous mess).
One day it will look normal and lovely and not like a building site. Sigh.
[Edit: forgot to say, I had a very frustrating conversation with BT yesterday, which means that I won't have a phone or internet in the flat till 29th December! So just when I need to communicate most I shall be incommunicado (the mobile reception is crap). So if you don't hear from me much after next week for a couple of weeks that's why]
