Just to say hello and happy Christmas to all my Brockley readership (all 2 of you, probably), as I've had a few visitors from bobfrombrockley, slightlylostintheworld and the italian SE4 blog recently, plus a few from London Bloggers. I can't for the life of me work out how to unsubscribe from London Bloggers (they only seem to let you move stations, but not leave altogether - is this a sinister plot I've accidentally discovered? - you can take the blog out of London, but you can't ... no hang on, that doesn't work) so sadly my visitors arrive here with false expectations. So I thought I'd better give Brockley a bit of a plug so I feel like slightly less of a fraud.

I'm really missing the place, which is silly as it's a bit of a dump if I'm honest, but it was home for so long that, even though I do like living here in Glasgow, sometimes I long for the character-building right-turning-whilst-avoiding-the-latest-shooting at Brockley Cross (actually no I don't long for that at all, that was just poetic licence), or to sit on the manky sofas at Moonbow Jakes (I do miss that a lot, and I still reminisce fondly about hitting my head on that low-hanging light every damn time I stood up from the sofa (you'd think after that many times I'd learn, but no) and the hand dryers in the toilets which are so strong it's like standing under a wind tunnel). And I loved that the Brockley Cross Action Group were more than just a talking shop but were actually starting to be listened to and taken seriously and starting to see some changes.

But mostly I miss my friends. I had a glut of Christmas cards from various people in Brockley yesterday, and I got all tearful. Sigh.
