OK, I admit defeat

Dear Mr Norton AntiVirus

I admit defeat. I submit. Despite having nearly 4 months left on this subscription, I am taking my business elsewhere.

It wasn't the online support, frustrating though that was. It's your ****ing website. Finding the right link to take me to the support is the online equivalent of locating *exactly* the right dusty book on the creaky wall to wall shelves which, when pulled out, rotates the entire wall 180 degrees and gives you access to the secret tunnel. Except that after rebooting my PC following your advice you hid the book so I couldn't find it again. Perhaps you should make things a bit less obvious, you don't want everybody finding the help they need, now do you?

Gah.

And now, dear readers, I need your help. What anti-virus software would you recommend that's not the evil NAV? I've heard of McAfee, and my university uses sophos (but that seems to be designed specifically for large networks) - is McAfee any good, or would you recommend any others? Thanks for your suggestions.

PS For anyone who's worried about receiving virus-infested stuff from me, I don't have a virus, I just have a corrupted anti-virus file thingummy which is insisting I have to pay up 4 months early. Sod that.
