Well, actually the same windows as yesterday, but here they are in glorious technicolour (blame Miss Lisa!).

New windows! - living room Here's the living room, you can see here and in the bedroom (which are the two rooms at the front) that I had frosted glass put in the bottom half. This is because my flat is directly on the street, on the ground floor, with no front garden between me and Glasgow's finest, so this was the best way for me to be able to open my curtains and maintain a bit of privacy (for most of the time since I've been here I've hardly been able to open the curtains at all. I did have hanging blinds, but they still weren't that great for privacy when they were open, so much of the time I didn't have them open at all which wasn't very good. This is much better). New windows! - bedroom This is the bedroom, it's a bit dark but you can hopefully just about make out the green walls, as I forgot to post a picture when I decorated.

New windows! - kitchen At least the kitchen shot proves I do some washing up! You can also see the blue woodwork I was talking about when I was buying the flat - eventually this will be painted white, but I'm leaving the kitchen till last to decorate as it's the most daunting! New windows! - bathroom And finally is the bathroom, minus cabinet full of girly toiletries which normally sits in the gap between the toilet and the window. You can see a bit of my tiling (behind the toilet and sink, on the right), and rather embarrassingly if you look closely, the masking tape that I've still not removed from sealing it (whoops). More excitingly, the blue in the top right corner is the colour I'm going to do the walls - derf came and held the ladder for me this morning to just do the top bit of that far wall as it involved logistical complicatedness in terms of reaching corners beyond my usual confidence to reach, so I wanted someone there not so much to stop me falling so much as being able to help if I did fall. Thankfully I didn't though (hooray!). Also exciting (for me anyway!) about this picture is you can see the top window opens. I know it's such a simple thing, but all of my previous windows only had a tiny weeny openable bit right at the (very tall) top which meant that I needed a stepladder if I ever wanted to open a window, so I usually didn't bother. Now I don't even need tiptoes!

And if I got the coding for the pictures right then I shall be even more excited!
