I spent the weekend stressing out about "how the hell am I ever going to write 10,000 words?"
This morning it has changed to "eek, how the hell am I only going to write 10,000 words?"
I don't know which one is more stressful, to be honest!
In other news, whilst deep in study (yes, really!) on Saturday I was delighted to be interrupted by a very unexpected phone call from none other than Smudgie's Tiddles, who was wanting help with a school project. I must say, he has a really good, natural phone manner (unlike me, I hate picking up the phone!), and I could see him getting on well in market research or something like that. I had to laugh though - I could hear Smudgie doing some gentle prompting in the background, and anyone would think that his unfamiliarity with the word "procrastination" would mean that none of that ever goes on in Smudgie's household. Yeah, right! :D
And in other other news, yesterday at church they announced that our curate, who is coming to the end of her curacy, has been appointed rector at another church, to start at the end of June. I'll miss her a lot. Immediately after the announcement she then had to announce the final hymn, and couldn't help but laugh as she announced that it was to be "The strife is o'er"!
