Yesterday was Ascension Day, and at St Frodo's we hosted a joint service of the local Episcopal churches, with the Bishop as celebrant. All very lovely and serious, with smoking handbag and all, but I'm afraid I got a bit distracted by the Bishop's mitre. I don't know what it is about mitres, whenever I see one I always want to lob something at it to try to knock it off his head, like a coconut shy.
