Today I'm presenting my work-in-progress seminar, which is where I discuss my literature review and all the stuff I found out during this year in a 30-40 minute presentation to the lecturers and postgrads of my department followed by awkward questions and heckling constructive discussion of my baby ideas. However, my main discoveries over the year have been "the Wibsite is still addictive, teaching 1st years is sometimes fun and often like pulling teeth, and I'm rubbish at Russian", which I don't think is quite what they're looking for. So I shall go through my lit review, which despite my supervisors saying it was of the standard they would expect for a 1st year PhD student and they were happy with it, I still think it's far too superficial and only scratching the surface and not up to the standard *I* would expect, so I'm a bit concerned that they'll think I'm superficial and clueless. Sigh.
Anyway, looking on the bright side, this is my last scary deadline for now so once this is out of the way I can actually get on with some proper work.
