I've just been taking a peek at the Greenbelt website, and generally getting excited. For the first time I may have to be organised enough to sort out one of those diary thingies as there's actually a whole load of stuff I'd like to see. Which feels strange, as usually Greenbelt for me is a time of much pottering around - a couple of years ago I think I did the grand total of 0 talks and only 2 or 3 bands (in my defence, I had bought an essay with me - I still can't believe I did that!). Must-see music includes Cara Dillon (though I think she's on on Friday evening so knowing my luck I shall still be queueing to buy my shower tokens while she's on) and the Ukelele Orchestra of GB, plus T Bone Burnett, King Creosote and Coco Mbassi. And Alastair McIntosh is speaking! If I'm organised maybe I'll get round to reading his book (that I bought last year. He's in good company though, I haven't read Steve Tomkins' book either).
