Unexpected gift

A huge "Thank you!" to Ian for a most unexpected gift to celebrate my confirmation - my first ever Orthodox icon. Apologies for the quality of the photo (I don't have a tripod and had to take it without flash, this is the least blurred of the pictures I took). It was a really thoughtful and generous gift - thank you. And thanks to everybody for your good wishes. It really was a very special time, and good to feel like I really "belong" somewhere (my old church always said it was "a place to belong" and I think that was one of my many issues with it - because I knew I really didn't belong there - so I particularly appreciate that sense of not being out on a limb any more). Now I just have to figure out what I do with this belonging, what it means for me. Answers on a postcard ...
