Picture the scene - this morning, at the airport, where I'd taken the Hot Date to catch a flight back down south after being here for the weekend. It was still early in the morning, after a far too early start, so there was lots of hand-holding and eye-gazing going on.
Me: (dreamy sigh) What are you thinking?
Him: (looks sheepish) Um ... computer-imaging-techy-type-stuff.
And they say romance is dead.
In other news, a few of us were in Edinburgh on Saturday night at a wine-tasting, helping choose the wines for our friends' forthcoming wedding reception. Taking a look at HD's score sheet I was musing on how we weren't actually that compatible wine-wise, particularly with regard to the white, when he remarked that when you look at the red wine scores, "relatively speaking we're identical". I thought that was hilarious. Almost as funny as being a metaphor that was twice life-size (sorry, a bit of an in-joke).
Well, it made me laugh anyway.
