Last week I didn't see any of the Olympics as our TV reception is so rubbish we never switch it on, and the PC with iPlayer that works (as opposed to this laptop, which has iPlayer which has never worked) for some reason isn't connecting to the internet. So this afternoon I have sat myself in front of the outlaws' TV, with my laptop, thinking I could work with the telly on in the background.
Big mistake!
Chris Hoy - what a star! His 3rd gold medal in this games (to add to the one he got in 2004) making him the first Brit to do that for 100 years. He was already Scotland's greatest Olympian after his 2nd gold the other day.
Germaine Mason - an unexpected silver in the high jump, and what a lovely young man he was - did you see him being interviewed, thanking UK Athletics for giving him the chance to represent them, and then saying that he wanted to go and phone his mum? My new hero!
Christine Uhuruogo - gold in the 400m, I have to say I have just shed a tear watching her on the podium. Yay!
