No, not *that* Playing Around - but moi! (Hmm, ever noticed a pattern emerging?)

Despite having had my cute little digital camera for nearly 2 years, I've not really been very adventurous with the settings (apart from when I went to Holly's wedding when during a bit of a panic aka accidentally twiddling a knob I accidentally discovered I could take black and white pictures and video with it). But recently I thought having spent the money on it I really ought to try to do a bit more than just "point and press" with it, so this evening I experimented with the night setting. Most of my pics were, I must admit, a bit on the shaky side (note to self: invest in cute little beanbag to go with cute little camera), but I was quite pleased with this one:

Red light bridge

I love how different the city looks at night when it's all lit up, even though I know I'm supposed to be earnest and disapproving about the light pollution and over-use of electricity. I do disapprove of all those things (and I really do think that the George Square Christmas lights would look just as bling-y and over-the-top even if they only used a fraction of the lights they have used). But the bridges over the Clyde really do look good lit up, I must admit, and I love the blue lights in the trees (pics of those weren't so good - will have to play around some more).
