Bluebell Wood

On Sunday we explored a bit - Balquhidderock Wood (no I have no idea how to pronounce it!) is about a mile from where we live, apparently it is known locally as Bluebell Wood. Unfortunately due to some map confusion we spent an hour wandering round Stirling housing estates before eventually getting there, and of course it is too early for bluebells, but now we know where it is we can go back later when it's bluebell time.
We both stopped in our tracks at the fallen tree - I don't think I've ever seen a tree that orange on the inside.
