Making the most of the unseasonable weather - suspect it will be my last chance this year! Looks like the people down the road had the same idea.
29th September:
This spire in amongst the tenements is quite a striking feature. The spire and front of the old church remain, but behind the front is a block of brand new flats in completely different materials, it looks strange, but not in a bad way. The story I heard was that the old church was bought by a developer who proceeded to make such a hash of building works that most of it had to be demolished and they only managed to salvage the front. I'm glad they managed that.
