This afternoon we went down to the recreation ground at Queen's Park where they were holding the Canine Companion Show. This was a chance for me to coo at cute dogs and dream of having one one day (even though I've never had one before and would be clueless with them!). I think my favourite was a miniature pug who looked like he'd ran into a wall at speed and got his face squashed into a permanently perplexed expression, plus the dog in the flyball who was so excited he kept opening his mouth and not noticing that he'd dropped the ball. They also had this year's Crufts winner there (who even if he hadn't won anything else would surely have won the waggiest tail prize). It also turns out that asking a pedigree dog owner if their dog is a labradoodle is nearly as insulting as asking if they're a sheep (whoops, diplomatic as usual). This wee guy was just hanging around looking cute - I'm thinking maybe he'll grow enough to fill his skin one day :)
