Here's a bit of quality cheese for you - it's that time of year again! This is the Maltese entry in the 1st semifinal of this year's Eurovision Song Contest. I never thought I'd ever say this, but I'm loving Jedward's tweets and photos (they are representing Ireland this year). There hasn't been anything in this semi-final which has particularly grabbed me - let's hope Thursday's is better. But it doesn't matter - the ESC hasn't been about the songs for years. For anyone interested in the more serious side of Eurovision, there's a documentary showing on 4OD (The Secret History of Eurovision) which I'm hoping to watch this week, not least because one of my departmental colleagues is featured (you can do a PhD on anything these days!).
