Here are our local swans in Queens Park. The two adults have been there all the time I've been in the area (5+ years) but I thought the last time they'd bred was in 2007. Last year we went to the park quite a lot to look at the baby ducks, coots and moorhens but didn't see any baby swans so assumed they hadn't bred. But this week I've seen the two adults with 4 big cygnets who are presumably coming up for a year old by the looks of them - I wonder how we missed them last year? The local thuggy seagulls are in the background. You can't miss them, sadly!
