Some time ago Ian brought my attention to the Big Picture project. Two or three times a week it presents photos on a particular subject (often something in the news) which are often astonishing in their quality and depth. Today I've just been enjoying Around the Solar System. What an amazing universe we're in.
I know sometimes we (well, I) can look at an amazing view or a picture of the Earth compared with Jupiter or somesuch and feel totally insignificant. And of course in the scheme of things we're all pretty insignificant. But for some reason looking at these photos isn't making me feel that, it is making me feel part of an amazing whole and that everyone's life is massively significant. and meaningful.
