* I'm really glad I didn't vote Lib-Dem.
* The North-South (as in Scotland-England) divide has for the first time got me considering the merits of Scottish independence. If Alex Salmond stops being the SNP leader and is replaced by Nicola Sturgeon I could possibly even be persuaded to vote SNP (despite being as Scottish as, er, jellied eels. Or something). I certainly feel very happy to be at this end of the UK right now.
* Even though I hate the idea of a Con-Lib coalition/agreement, I do think it will be more realistic than a Lab-Lib-SNP-PC-Green-all the others coalition and will probably last longer. For the SNP to get into bed with Labour down south when they can't stand the sight of each other up here is ludicrous.
* I'm delighted the BNP vote collapsed. But I hate that they still got over half a million votes country-wide, and that they came 6th and not 9th in my own constituency.
* Despite loathing David Cameron and all he stands for, I could see he was the most electable leader they've had for years, so the fact that he wasn't able to win an outright majority of seats gives me hope for the future.
* Following the whole process on facebook and twitter has been much more entertaining than watching the actual thing itself, and made it almost bearable.
* If I am going to live in a country with a Tory PM, I am going to have to start stockpiling chocolate. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
