Since the wibsite got Chris' fabulous wibstats programme I've been really interested to see the search terms used that end up with people looking at my blog. With the old wibsite I think "student of the world" was my most popular search (can't think why) but that is only very rare these days. It is really curious, when you consider the depths of profundity that emanate from here (*cough*) that the most popular searches (in no particular order) now are:
* variations on Slavenka Drakulic's "How we Survived Communism and Even Laughed" (searches on the author or book title mostly)
* variations on Helene Hanff's "84 Charing Cross Road" and "The Duchess of Bloomsbury" (searches on the author and book title, and quite a lot wanting a photo of the author)
* asking how to bruise a cinnamon stick (my mulled wine recipe calls for such an item, and I asked the same question. I wonder if there's an answer anywhere, perhaps I should do a search. But I'd probably end up back here)
* variations on "shooting in Brockley". I wonder if Brockley Central get found much on that search? I'm sure I wrote loads more about Brockley when I lived there than just shooting (I only remember once mentioning a shooting).
Oh yes, and "maturest sex". Ending up here must be *such* a disappointment to those searchers (it's a very very very regular feature in my stats).
