Important stocktake

Yesterday I thought I'd better take stock of the tea situation here. I brought a couple of boxes of teabags with me from the UK, as although they do sell fruit tea here (mint and fruits of the forest seem particularly popular for some reason) and I'm not actually that much of a caffeine monster, usually I find fruit teas a bit disappointing and prefer something a bit more substantial. My two teas of choice are rooibos (which I have only seen here in restaurants, with evil vanilla added - why on earth would anyone do that, the only thing that could possibly be worse would be if they'd added celery or rhubarb) and lapsang souchong, which I'd never had before going out with HD but which I liked instantly (much like him), and which I've not seen here at all. I don't have a kettle here, but bought a little pot to heat on the stove which holds enough water for 2 mugs, so I get 2 cups of tea per teabag, and am so far averaging about a teabag of each per day.

The stocktake reveals that I now have 14 rooibos teabags and 17 lapsang teabags left. Fortunately HD is coming out for a holiday in a couple of weeks, so at current consumption rates it looks like he will be arriving in the nick of time (he is aware of the need to bring top-up supplies).

[I do love him for much more than his ability to bring me stuff from home, but that certainly helps!]
