Yesterday I had the first fitting of my wedding dress. It fit!
HUGE sigh of relief. I was genuinely very concerned that the Moldovan lard would defeat the zips and hooks and laces and goodness knows what other scaffolding is at the back of the dress. I'm still going to try to lose a bit of weight, but it takes the pressure off to lose lots quickly so that's good.
I also had a haircut. It doesn't look as good as Lemly's (they straightened it to within an inch of its life) but I'm sure once I wash the 'product' out of it it'll be fine.
I'm a bit concerned that I have post going missing. I had a call from the mortgage company today saying that they had sent me a letter at the start of the month that was returned to them, but I had never received it (and certainly wouldn't have sent it back!). I'm waiting on another parcel that seems to have gone missing, and now I'm getting worried because the wedding invitations gave my address as the RSVP address - we've had a few replies come here, but not many. I have a feeling the agent who rents out the flat opposite keeps telling the tenants that the number of their flat is my flat's number, so then they sign up for things and I get their post for ages (not to mention their summonses when they're naughty - thankfully that particular person doesn't live there any more!). We seem to have a new postman (the guy who did the post before I went away was great) so maybe he has got confused (not helped by the fact that none of the flats have numbers on the door). Not good - must investigate.
