It's customary (and quite right!) to moan just after Christmas when the hot cross buns and Easter eggs start to appear in the shops. However, I think tonight puts even those heinous sins into perspective - this evening HD and I went out to a Chinese restaurant in Shawlands, where whilst we were waiting for our food the background music included operatic renditions of "Oh Starry Night" and "Oh Come All Ye Faithful".

(the food was good though)
