The other week during Smudgie’s holiday to Scotland (which maybe she will also blog about at some point) she and Smudgelet graced us with their presence in a trip to the Big City. I had suggested going to the Science Centre, ostensibly because I thought Smudgelet would like it, but mainly because I’m a big kid and I knew I would love it. As well as the 3 of us, Derf headed over to Glasgow from Edinburgh for the day, and brought Bertha the Purple Cow with her. So we were something of a motley crew, it has to be said. I was pleased to have the chance to take lots of arty photos for my Glasgow photo blog. It has to be said I was somewhat hindered, er helped I mean, by Bertha who clearly has modelling aspirations and ambitions to be seen by a wider worldwide audience. Much to Smudgie’s dismay Smudgelet decided he liked the idea of arty photos, and probably took nearly as many as me (the force is obviously strong with him). Luckily for us it was a lovely clear and sunny day (though very cold), so I got some cracking shots, even without random arms, legs and cows attempting to get in on the pictures. Highlights included the chance to chat with Smudgie in the café (and eat cake, purely out of solidarity you understand, I wouldn’t have otherwise, while Smudgelet and Derf went up the Glasgow Tower, which I’d already done on my previous visit), and to press and twiddle and pull various knobs and levers and generally be a great big kid. In the evening strathclydezero also headed over from Edinburgh and we ate out (and, amazingly, didn’t discuss Scottish politics once!). Here are some of the pictures from the day: IMGP6009IMGP6015 IMGP6016IMGP6021 IMGP6027IMGP6028 IMGP6017IMGP6037IMGP6047 IMGP6043IMGP6052 IMGP6053IMGP6059 This final one was an exercise that just took seconds to achieve, but then got this inspirational message. All I could think was, if only it were that simple! IMGP6054
