Holy Breakfast!

Yesterday evening I was up in town meeting a few friends from the Ship for pizza. My starter was great, dough balls with VERY garlicky garlic butter. When I got back I forgot to drink my usual cup of ayurvedic organic-eco tea which tastes and smells like stale socks but helps me sleep, so I woke up this morning about 3.30. After an hour lying in bed I still couldn't get back to sleep, and realised that despite cleaning my teeth last night I had a really bad case of garlic-mouth, so to get rid of the taste I started on my Easter egg. I know troughing chocolate at 4.30am isn't the ideal preparation for the holiest day of the year, but it really had to be done.

This morning I went first to the 9am communion service. I don't usually go to church that early, but we've not had communion for the past couple of weeks at the main morning service and I was starting to miss it. Afterwards there was an hour before the main service started and as it wasn't really worth going home and coming back again (I live a 15 minute drive away from church) I wandered up the hill and sat in Crystal Palace Park and looked at the plants and thought about life, the universe and everything. When I got back for the main service I discovered that they were having communion at that service as well (for some reason I'd had it in my head that it wasn't a communion service) so I ended up taking communion twice in the same morning. I wasn't sure if there was some theological or liturgical reason why having communion more than once a day was frowned upon (I'm only a relatively novice Anglican so there's lots I still don't know), but fortunately there was someone else who'd been at the 9o'clock service who went up before me. She's about to start training for the Ministry, so I figured if she thought it was OK I was probably safe. So far there've been no bolts of lightning heading my way so that's good.

Revision for the exam (which is only just over 2 weeks away now) starts in earnest this afternoon. Which is of course why I'm here :D As usual I have a really impressive revision timetable, hopefully I will break the habit of a lifetime and actually follow it this time.
