Today's displacement activities

I had really good intentions of getting up and doing a couple of hours' study before going to work every day this week. I even set the alarm for 5 this morning. But when it went off I turned it off and reset it, so I don't think I'll be doing that again.

Anyway, displacement activities. Gym for an hour after work (Arti, I had exactly the same conversation as your comment with a total stranger there who, like me, feels loads better and less lardy for working out but hasn't lost weight either). That was good - I increased some of my weights today so it was hard work, but I feel great for it now. I also spent a bit of time planting out a raspberry plant that my colleague gave me from her allotment. She gave me tomatoes last year which I killed, hopefully this year I'll be more successful. I'll have to remember to put both the raspberry and my strawberry plants out of reach of the slugs - last year I had quite a few strawberries, but the slugs ate them before I could pick them. Grrr. Anyway, apparently these raspberries are yellow, which is a bit weird, but my colleague assures me they're very tasty and sweet. I also put a couple of bits of Russian vine in a pot of water where they will hopefully grow some roots. I picked them from some of the vine that overhangs a bridge near where I work, hopefully nobody saw me. And I also phoned my sister tonight, as it's her birthday, so that used up a bit more time too.

I've taken Friday and Monday off (the exam's Tuesday) so hopefully those four days will be enough time for me to cram (that's how I've got through my last several exams anyway). Work is being really draining and demanding right now, which is why revising when I come home is so difficult, my brain can't cope with any more demands. That's my excuse anyway, and I'm sticking to it.
