Blowing my own trumpet

Just going to indulge in a little bit of crowing here: I passed my last exam (the one I took in April) and got a merit! Hooray! This pushes my averages back up (out of the 5 modules I've done I now have 1 pass, 2 merits and 2 distinctions) and means that if I do really really well in my dissertation a distinction for the whole Masters degree isn't out of the question. So at the moment I'm really motivated to work hard and do as well as possible (as opposed to leaving everything till the last minute like I usually do). I'm sure it won't last.

What hasn't moved on since April though is the job I got - bank nursing at the local hospice. After hearing that I'd got the job subject to references and medical, I've basically heard nothing since. Last time I phoned them they said they were still waiting on some of my references. I must admit I've been so busy I've made no effort to chase them up, but I really do need to pull my finger out and do some nursing, otherwise I won't have enough time to do the appropriate number of hours. I think I'm going to have to start praying for a 9 day week. It's the only way I'll be able to fit everything in.
