I'm really not happy - got home today to see I've got a £100 charge for apparently being caught in a bus lane. I know exactly where they mean, and why I was in the place at the time, I was driving to visit a client. But I'm SO careful not to drive in bus lanes, and the only way I could have gone into it was at a point where I needed to turn left across the bus lane in order to turn into another road. It's so unfair :(
What's even more irritating is that they say if I pay within 14 days I only have to pay £50, but if I do that then I'm not allowed to appeal. However, if I want to appeal (which I do) I can't appeal until after 28 days when they will issue me with some other summons or something or other like that. If I win the appeal then I don't pay anything, but if I lose it I'll have to pay the full whack plus presumably costs for having the extra summons because I didn't pay in the first two weeks. Talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place. I'm very very cheesed off.
