This evening, on my way back to the car from the dentist, I saw 50p on the pavement. Now normally (and I absolutely swear this is true) I never pick up coins because I figure that there's always someone around who could do with that odd 20p more than I could. But, for some inexplicable reason, this time I reached down to pick it up. And some ****** had glued it to the pavement.
My first thought was "Oh no, where's the secret camera?" So if any of you are watching "You've Been Framed" or any similar oh-so-hilarious* secret camera programme and see a sequence filmed in Catford of unsuspecting passers-by trying to pick up 50p, I'm the scruffy bird in faded muddy jeans running her tongue round her teeth after her scale and polish. (It's true. I really am eminently worshipable**)
