I spent Friday evening quaffing Pimms at a BBQ at Lambeth Palace (where my friend works) - and it didn't rain! In fact it was a lovely end to a day which had already seen me feeling rotten because of a cold, waiting for lots of people who didn't turn up to their appointments with me, and getting peed on by a 2 week old baby boy (occupational hazard, but I'm usually quick enough and manage to get out of the way).
Then this weekend I've been at my parents' place, as my sister, brother-in-law and niece (who's now 11 months - I last saw her when she was 10 weeks old!) are over in the UK. I'd been looking forward to it and dreading it in equal measure (a few issues, mostly around various people being a bit insensitive) but in the end it was lovely, my niece is very cute, and does that amazing baby thing of putting both feet into her mouth at the same time. I'm sure after a couple more Pilates sessions I could do that too (not).
