I am now a bona fide Domestic Goddess. I baked flapjacks this afternoon.
Actually, I really should do that more often, they're delicious. I picked more blackberries this afternoon (taking extra care, as the last time I did that I had a run-in with the Wiblog Police), and as my freezer is now packed to bursting point with blackberries I thought I'd better use some of them. I've never had blackberry flapjacks before, but I must say that although they're a bit too squidgy they are really really tasty, in fact edible enough that I can make some more for the wibsite birthday party at Greenbelt and not be embarrassed.
In other news, yesterday I missed a call which would have enabled me to register on the Russian course (can you believe it - I filled out the online registration form, so they obviously have the appropriate technology, and at the end they said "We'll call you to complete the registration" - what's the point of online registration if you can't actually register???? Grrrr). However, I did do one of my two remaining interviews, very interesting stuff, punctuated by M and J's new puppy who is gorgeous, though I thought my feet would be a shoe size smaller by the time he'd finished licking them.
And this morning I was 74kg. Which I think is reasonably respectable considering how much I've eaten out recently. I don't know why I'm kidding myself I'm on a diet, I don't stand a chance. Especially not with the blackberry flapjacks now in the cupboard.
