I've just emailed the UpNorth Uni tutors about arranging a meeting to discuss my PhD proposal when I'm UpNorth next month. So that's pretty much everything on my pre-dissertation to do list done apart from sorting out Romanian lessons, and without a doubt it was the scariest item on said list. I know it's a good idea if I can meet them, but it really is such a daunting prospect - these are the most serious academics I've had to deal with so far, and I can't quite shift that nagging doubt that they'll think I'm a dork.
