I have got 4 weddings coming up (other peoples' that is, not mine - not being into polygamy and all). I was thinking about my wardrobe (or more precisely the frocks inside it) and planning outfits without (hopefully) spending a fortune or wearing the same dress to weddings where I'll see the same people (because of course the chance to dress up is what it's all really about - [ahem]). BUT - the invitation arrived today for one of the weddings, and it is at Eltham Palace (see my links to the left) which was my July culture vulture place (report posted on 1st or 2nd August). It's THE most fabulous and wild place, and I couldn't possibly go to a wedding there on the cheap. I'm meant to be meeting a friend up in town on Saturday and maybe doing something cultural, but a wedding at Eltham Palace calls for a Serious Outfit so I think I may have to squeeze in a bit of shopping as well. Aah, life's tough.
I may even (unheard of) shell out on a Hat for The Occasion.
