Falling to bits

I finally got to see the GP today, who confirmed what I expected - my shoulder ligaments are damaged, and she said it will take 6-8 weeks to heal. I will go back to the gym as well as swimming (for reasons I'll explain in a minute) but will have to lay off the weights for a while.

While I was waiting in the waiting area, I decided to measure my blood pressure, as they have an electronic blood pressure monitoring thingy in the waiting room. Big mistake. It's through the roof. I'm really upset, and I just told my lodger what it was (she used to be a cardiac nurse) and she was really shocked. Time to take the diet and exercise much more seriously again, as being a stone and a half lighter was the only thing that brought it within "normal" limits before. Gah. Who'd have a family history?

I so need to apply my tidying frenzy to my desk at work. I do actually feel like I'm in control of my work, but it really doesn't look like it. I was writing notes on my lap earlier today as there was nowhere to lean on the desk. Not good.
