Nothing much to blog about, just I am so so tired and so so glad it's the weekend. Am going to a wedding tomorrow, of a friend I blogged about before who's soon-to-be parents-in-law originally rejected her in the most spectacularly nasty way possible but suddenly and unexpectedly became sweetness and light, freeing her and her partner to do what they always wanted and actually get married. It's a fantastic story, though (understandably) she remains suspicious. I'm so chuffed for her, though I'm tinged with sadness too (probably not helped by just finishing off last night's Greek plonk) that sustaining a relationship continues to be beyond my capabilities. *sigh*
I'm being considerably cheered up, however, by the fact that I've just put Duran Duran's Greatest Hits on the stereo. I hardly ever listen to it, but am singing along at the top of my voice. Great stuff.
At some point this weekend I also need to:
* do more work on research proposal
* go through Russian stuff (haven't been to class for last 2 weeks, not good)
* sort out stuff for car insurers that I should have got to them 2 months ago
* find wedding invitation so I know what time to turn up (oops)
* relax and sleep (yeah, right)
