To everybody.
It's just amazing how many people, here and on the Ship, have contacted me either through this blog, or through the prayer thread, or texted, or phoned, to let me know they're praying since I posted only a few hours ago about the burglary. I'm welling up just thinking about it.
I'm fine. The broken window is now boarded up. My RL friend (I can't believe I'm typing that - you're all wonderful RL friends, but anyway my local RL friend) came round and we had pizza and wine and what have you till the glass man came to board up the window. I've just about sorted out the living room, except that I've now discovered that, because my curtains were closed the burglar pulled on the curtains so hard to get a way in that he's trashed the curtain poles. Not a problem, they were only cheap Ikea ones, but it's another pain I could do without. I haven't touched the bedroom. Have made an executive decision not to go to work tomorrow morning but to sort it out then. The only thing I think *may* be missing is my passport, but to be honest the bedroom is *so* trashed it's probably under a pile of something or other (everything else is under a pile of something or other). I'll sleep in the spare room tonight, and sort out the insurance and quotes for window replacements and holes in walls and that sort of stuff tomorrow.
One good thing is that sorting out the trashed living room I not only found my lost address book (blogged about recently) but also my lost stereo remote control. So I suppose that's good - I'd *never* have found the address book otherwise, as I was convinced it was in the bedroom (also trashed).
And thank you for all the offers of help. To be honest, the most useful thing would be a really really cheap quote for a replacement window. But I do appreciate the sentiments (really).
Oh, and I found the spider. It was in the sink. It's not any more, thanks to my handy Bug Buster (also blogged about previously). A great, great investment!
Degree result tomorrow. You (and the Ship) will of course be the first to know.
