I always find it really easy, when it comes to the thorny topic of praying, to post prayer requests online, or phone a friend to ask for prayer, or put stuff in my blog, so that other people can pray. I was going to do that this evening, but then it occurred to me rather suddenly that I'm really being lazy. Not that asking for prayer is a bad thing, of course it isn't, but I think I'm very good at using other peoples' prayers as a proxy for my own, and as an excuse not to pray myself. I'm hardly the most disciplined person in the world, so stopping and making time for prayer doesn't come easy. But I really need to make it more of a priority, and stop relying on other people to do for me what God is calling me to do for myself.
