New Year's Resolutions

I mentioned one of my resolutions yesterday, but have made quite a few - not to be rigid and guilt-inducing (at least one has been broken already), but to help me generally be healthier, happier, more interesting and more use to the world.

So here goes:

* Read at least one book per month for pleasure (i.e. not a text book!).
* Do at least one cultural thing per month (museum, concert, what-have-you).
* Try to lose 2kg (just over 4lbs) a month weight through sensible eating and exercise (try not to eat between meals, and go back to the gym 2-3 times per week).
* Get head round lectionary of daily Bible readings (that's the one which hasn't quite happened yet).
* Be more organised re housework - hoover the whole house weekly, properly clean one of the main rooms weekly so that they all get a good monthly clean, and try to do ironing fortnightly rather than monthly.
* Investigate the possibility of counselling for unhelpful baggage.
* If I have to do anything for my PhD application (or whatever study-related), do it when I get home from work and get it finished *before* switching on the computer to relax.
* Respond to emails and letters within a week.
* Unclutter house and sell as much as possible of it on eBay.
* Figure out how eBay works (that would help).

I don't think they're too unobtainable (I did think about putting "Stop Procrastinating" but realised I would be setting myself up to fail!), and I really think they will help me. I'm really not going to beat myself up about them too much though.
