I've been tagged by Tractor Girl and Never Conforming. Thank you both. I've lost track of who has done it, so feel free to take it from me if you haven't!
Ten years ago: First year of university at UTS, studying a Bachelor of Science (Computing Science). I can't believe it was ten years ago; in one sense it seems ages ago, but in another sense I can remember it as if it were only a few months' back.
Five years ago: In July/August, my first trip to Canada, meeting up with people I met on a Contiki Tour of Europe in 1998 as well as some travel on my own. I went to Victoria, Vancouver; within Alberta: Jasper and a bit of the Rockies, Edmonton, and up a bit more north to Bonnyville and Lac La Biche; Toronto; Niagara Falls; Québec City; and a three-day canoeing adventure in Algonquin Provincial Park.
In addition, a friend from Canada came over for the Sydney Olympics in September, so I went to several volleyball events with him.
One year ago: I was finishing my first semester of the Postgraduate Certificate in TESOL. And loving it.
Five yummy things: Crème Caramel (Semele's particularly!); Baked Ricotta Cake; Roast Lamb; Veal Schnitzel and Roast Potatoes; and, as discovered today at the Wibmeet today, bills' ricotta hotcakes!
Five songs I know by heart: Bananas in Pyjamas; Spinning Around - Kylie Minogue; Ship without a Sail - Ella Fitzgerald; Averil - Mediæval Bæbes; Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence.
Five things I would do with a lot of money: give some to charities; give some to my parents and sister; give some to our church so that we can have a building of our own; invest some; go on holidays.
Five places I would escape to: Austria; The Rocky Mountains; Ireland; Tasmania; New Norcia.
Five things I would never wear: jeans so low my undies show; speedos (as I don't look like this!); bike shorts (again...); sleeveless T-shirts (again...); socks that don't match shoes and shoes that don't match belt.
Five favourite TV shows: Kommissar Rex; Bewitched; The Vicar of Dibley; House; Saturday/Sunday night documentaries on SBS or ABC.
Five things I enjoy doing: eating and chatting with friends; travelling; watching films; reading; worshipping at church (truly: I love it!)
Favourite toys: don't have many: my computer is probably it, though I do have a nice collection of stuffed toys from childhood -- and a few from more recent years. ;-)
