Egeria's Pilgrimage

The pilgrimage to the Holy Land of Egeria, a nun from the fourth century, is something I have heard extracts from, most recently on a BBC Radio programme on the Kyrie Eleison (Lord have mercy). Egeria wrote a letter back to her community of nuns, describing the monks, holy places and some of the liturgical practices of the church at Jerusalem. The desire to read this (rather long) letter has been in the back of mind for some time.

Seraphim at Minor Clergy has graciously put up a translation of Egeria's letter he recently found. I look forward to reading it.
