For now at least. I can't believe the ten weeks has gone by so quickly. And, looking back, I have to confess to a bit of pride in what I've learnt: I know the letters of the alphabet and a few words and phrases. I'm quite happy.

We revised the numbers from 1 to 10 and also some phrases. We also learnt how to say I am from... and learned how to write Australia (ﺃﺳﺘﺮﺍﻠﯧﺎ) and Sydney (ﺳﺪﻧﻲ).

We have, with the teacher, made plans to get together a few times soon. There will be a lunch next week, which I will unfortunately miss as I'll be in Melbourne for our Melbourne Orthodox Retreat, but we will also be getting together and going to the Sydney Arab Film Festival in early December. It has been a great blessing to have met such wonderful people and to have got on so well and formed friendships with them. The next level starts in February, and many of us are continuing. However, we'll be getting together and e-mailing quite a bit before then.

Tomorrow, after church, I'll be heading to the Multicultural Eid Festival & Fair which is being held at Fairfield Showground, only a few minutes away from my home. I unfortunately missed it last year as I was away, and I am looking forward to going tomorrow. It should be a wonderful day out.
