Held today at Fairfield Showground.
Packed. Absolutely packed. Everyone seemed to be turning in from Smithfield Road -- the queue was 30 or so cars -- so I, being a local in the know, went around the back, parked on the street and waltzed in. Being a local has advantages.
I was feeling a bit off-colour today so I didn't stay long, but I had a great time. There were plenty of stalls selling everything from artwork to clothing to CDs and DVDs. A number of stalls were set up for various charities, especially for victims of the recent earthquake in Asia, and a number of organisations such as Mission of Hope. There was also a huge selection of food, from Lebanese to Turkish to Indian to Malaysian. And Turkish ice-cream, which I've never had before: it is much more creamier and, gooey is the only word I can think of, than ice-cream I've had before: it was absolutely delicious.
I also watched a number of performances from Bosnian dances to Laotian music to various skits, all performed by children. I wish I could've stayed longer, but my headache was getting worse: it wasn't the quietest place! But I had a great time, and I look forward to the next one. I came home, had a good sleep, and feel better.
