I love reading about people's lives: it is fascinating to get an insight into what is going on with them and, especially for "Christian blogs", how people live their lives and how God has guided, directed, or even pushed them.

I also love photos: probably because I'm so bad at taking them! But also because a photograph can transport you to that scene, and as someone once said, "A picture is worth a thousand words."

Here are a few blog entries I've read recently, be they stories, photos, or a combination of both, that I thought I'd share.

---

The talented Singing Semele as Little Red Hiding Hood.

The newly-tonsured Reader David, with plenty of photos of the wonderful event.

Joshua's trip to New Skete, with the most wonderful dusk photo I've seen.

The favourite shots of the past year from the very talented photographer Ben.

As we sizzle in the heat of summer, Fr Jim's photos of the snow falling and his Christmas Tree helped to cool me down and transport me to a winter wonderland: though I hope the large amount of snow does not cause problems.

For an Aussie / Kiwi Christmas, you can't go past Deeleea's recent posts, with photos of various Christmas Tree baubles and the story behind them.

Still on things Christmas, Mimi dancing the night away and looking fantastic at her office Christmas Party.

Constantine attends Romanian National Day.

And finally, not a blog, but the history of the Sacred Heart Statue in particular from the history page of St George's, Warminster is a wonderful, and moving, read.
