Readers may remember me referring to Fr Themi in two entries earlier this year. Fr Themi and his team in Nairobi, Kenya, lead an Orthodox mission which serves the poor and needy people there by providing food, clothing and medical aid to the local population, as well as providing them with the skills needed to support themselves long term, particularly in the area of education.
I was recently told of their website, which details the focus and the work of the mission. Well worth a look.
Please keep Fr Themi and his team, and in fact all missionary, aid and other workers in your prayer: they truly have given up all to follow Christ's command to serve and help the poor. Thanks be to God.
