By this time next Sunday, God willing, I shall have been chrismated and, through this sacrament, received the gift of the seal of the Holy Spirit.
If anyone is near enough to Sydney, and is free from 9:30 to about 11:00 on Sunday December 18, feel free to drop by our parish, participate in the Liturgy, see me chrismated, and we'll meet afterwards. There will be a small lunch after the service also. If you need any further information, please e-mail me. A few people from the Ship are coming, as are several friends. And I know I have many who will be supporting me by prayer, which is a blessing beyond words.
As I continue to prepare to be received, I am going to be taking a week's rest from blogging, and other internet-related activities as well. I shall greatly miss reading your blogs, and your comments here, but a bit of deprivation will, by God's grace, enable me to focus and more fully prepare. I look forward to seeing you all virtually next Sunday; and to those who wish to come to my parish next Sunday, I look forward to seeing and meeting you.
Please pray for me.

And on the topic of chrismation, Joe will be chrismated this Sunday (which is almost over here) Kansas time. Please pray for and remember him.
And also remember the catechumen Michael who will be received, God willing, next year.
