Georgia has gone up in my list of places to visit.
Our sub-deacon sent me this website, the Patriarchate of Georgia which, as part of its excellent site, has a page on Georgian Christian Art and photos of such varied forms as icons, churches and monasteries and the beautiful and exquisite metalwork.
The Churches and Monasteries particularly grabbed me: there are churches / monasteries from the middle of the first millennium. And the churches / monasteries are so beautiful: so ancient, and so beautiful. I pray I may be able to visit one day.
