A week of nice results: we came first at trivia after a number of weeks at second -- or worse. We had an absolutely fantastic second round [35 points out of 40: our best second round ever], and managed to hold it over the third round -- my knowledge of the CDs of Ms Minogue helping us there [not sure I should admit that!]
We had spent all of our previous voucher winnings that night on dinner and dessert, so now we have another $50- food voucher to replenish the kitty.
I am taking a half-day today [I'm taking half-days over the next month in lieu of the extra time spent at work: I prefer time off to overtime payments] and will go with a friend to Darling Harbour to watch the World Youth Day Stations of the Cross via a big screen. I was unaware there was a Scriptural Stations of the Cross [the one that will be performed at WYD]; I was only familiar with the Traditional Stations. You really do learn something every day.
Not sure how I'll go with crowds, but I would like to be part of the celebrations in some small way [and I'd love to see the CBD filled with people from all over the world], and I do find the Stations a rather moving devotion -- so I will be glad to attend this event.
