Addicted to Reading

As you can see from the list on the left, I can never stick to one book at a time. Depending on what mood I am in, or how awake and focused I am, I'll choose a different book from my bedside table.

In addition, I'll often see books in a store and buy them: even if I have a pile of books ready to read. Currently sitting on my shelf, yet to be opened, are:

The Parables -- Archbishop Dmitri (I read his The Miracles of Christ and gained a great deal, so I looked for other books by His Eminence.)
The Mystery of Faith -- Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev (Given to me by my parish on my chrismation.)
The Spiritual Meadow -- John Moschos (A book I heard a lot about in various articles and other books: particularly William Dalrymple's From the Holy Mountain.)
The Age of the Cloister -- Christopher Brooke (I am fascinated with monasticism, and especially the European mediæval ones: there is just something about them.)
The Spirit of the Liturgy -- Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger (Pope Benedict XVI) (I had always wanted to read this book, it having been recommended by many friends, but I kept forgetting. After attending Mass at St Francis', Melbourne in November last year, I went to the bookstore next door, saw it, and grabbed it and The Spiritual Meadow.)
