I can't believe it!?!? My niece is one year old today. One year! It flew by.

to this in one year!
We're having a party at my parents' place from 11 to 2. I've bought her a jacket that has a kangaroo on the front and little kangaroo ears (a few sizes too big, as given it's 30 degrees C here now she won't be wearing it now!), Spot's Birthday Party and My Very First Mother Goose [thank you people from The Ship who provided recommendations] (which will arrive Monday, according to my bookstore! ;-)).
And she has just begun to take her first steps. She has been standing for a month or so, but if she ever wanted to move anywhere she fell down, crawled, and then stood up again. Five steps this morning. It is amazing.
